Referrals

Referrals must be completed over the telephone with OAHTT. Referrers will be required to answer a set of questions in full when making a telephone referral.

Criteria: Aged 65 and over and has had an initial psychiatric assessment. Resident in Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge or Waltham Forest. Experiencing an acute mental health episode. Is being considered for admission to a psychiatric hospital. Presents a risk to themselves or others. Currently an inpatient who needs help to facilitate early discharge.

Exclusions: Direct GP referrals. Aged under 65 unless has a definite diagnosis of Dementia. Self referrals unless previously known to OAHTT, no mental health problem.

Test results required at referral: None.
