Temporary visitor restrictions
Our top priority while dealing with the coronavirus (COVID-19) is to protect our patients and the staff caring for them. Therefore, we have introduced some temporary visitor restrictions, which we are keeping under constant review.
Children and Young People’s Inpatient Areas
- No children under 18 can visit.
- Parents/ carers are able to visit but no other friends or relatives will be able to visit on the wards.
- The ward will facilitate meeting other relatives in limited numbers (max 2 visitors) where appropriate.
Adult and Older Adult Inpatient Areas
- No children under 18 can visit.
- All patients can only have one visitor per day, which must be the same person.
- Visiting hours across all our hospitals are now between 3pm – 7pm.
If you are visiting a patient who has tested positive for coronavirus, or has symptoms of coronavirus, you will be given protective equipment to wear while on the ward.
Exceptional circumstances will be considered by our ward managers, and these temporary restrictions will not apply to patients who are receiving end of life care.
Please respect our staff who are working hard to keep our patients safe and our services running.
Remember not to come to our hospital if you have a cough or high temperature symptoms or any infectious illness like diarrhoea and vomiting.
