NELFT welcomes two new NEDs to the Trust Board
We are delighted to welcome two new Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to the Board of NELFT. Following a recruitment process involving colleagues and Trust Governors, Colin Lynch and Yemisi Gibbons have joined the NELFT board.
Yemisi is a Havering resident. She has been a Non-Executive Director at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust since 2017 and has chaired their equivalent of our Quality & Safety Committee since 2018. Yemisi is a qualified Consultant Pharmacist with over ten years’ experience in the primary care sector working for the City & Hackney Primary Care Trust (PCT) and GP surgeries. Since 2012, Yemisi has also acted as Chief Executive Officer for Soma Healthcare, a private domiciliary care company.
Colin has worked with NHS, private and third sector healthcare clients since 1996 and was a partner at Capsticks Solicitors LLP for over fifteen years. Since 2017, Colin has worked as a self-employed commercial and project consultant providing advice to NHS organisations and private sector healthcare businesses. He is also a Non-Executive Director for Locala Community Services CIC and chairs their Audit & Risk Committee.
Our Chair, Joe Fielder, said “I am so pleased to be working with Yemisi and Colin as our new Non-Executive Director colleagues. The wealth of knowledge and experience they both bring to the Board will be hugely beneficial in supporting us to deliver our aspirations to provide the best care by the best people.”
