NELFT Directors and Board members deliver festive boxes to inpatient wards
Over the festive period, Board members and directors from NELFT visited inpatient wards across the Trust to deliver festive boxes.
Every year, NELFT’s charity, the Health Way Foundation, provides gifts for all the inpatients who are being cared for on NELFT wards over the festive period. The gifts include cosy socks and toiletries, just some small tokens to make sure everyone on the inpatient wards across Essex, Kent and London feel included at this time of year.
Carrie-Ann Wade, Director of communications, engagement, and charitable funds, who visited an inpatient ward last week, said:
“I have really enjoyed my time visiting our some of our adult and older adult mental health wards at Sunflowers Court, dropping of the presents and chocolates. It was lovely to meet some of our patients and find out about what is happening across the wards to celebrate the festive season, which included carol singing, dancing and Christmas parties.
“It’s so important that our patients who may not get to spend much time with loved ones over Christmas feel included and valued and we hope this small gesture from the Health Way Foundation helps being some cheer.”
