National NHS Staff Survey Puts NELFT Top In The Country At Trusting Staff
The latest annual NHS staff survey results show that our Trust achieved the best score nationally for staff feeling that they were trusted to do their job, as well as being above the national average in our compassion, inclusivity, and diversity.
In what has been an incredibly challenging year for staff, we are pleased to say we have seen encouraging improvements in:
- Colleagues feeling fairly treated with regards to career progression regardless of ethnic background, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Colleagues feeling secure in raising concerns about unsafe clinical practice.
- Colleagues experiencing a reduction in work related stress.
Throughout the results, line managers were viewed positively with strong scores and improvements in listening to colleagues, providing clear feedback, and encouraging staff at work.
Jacqui Van Rossum, acting chief executive, said:
"I’m proud to see that we are the best in the country at trusting our incredible staff to get on with what they are experts at – their jobs.
This, along with increased numbers of staff feeling valued, reflects our continued determination to create a world-class just and compassionate culture, which is concerned about our staff’s health and wellbeing.”
