Havering adult community learning disability team win RCPsych Team of the Year award
The Havering adult community learning disability team (CDLT) are excited to share they have won the 'Team of the Year 2022: Intellectual Disability award' from the Royal College of Psychiatry (RCPsych).
Team manager, Jacqueline Dodwell, shared the fabulous news with the team during a quality support visit at Yew Tree resource centre earlier this year. Jacqueline, who joined the team in November 2021 on a secondment from children’s services in Essex, said:
I am so proud of the team for winning this award, they all work so well together, and their focus is achieving great outcomes for the client group.
The whole team really go above and beyond in their work and have made me feel so welcome. The team, like many others, has experienced much change over the past few years. They were displaced at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic followed by a staff consultation to move the service from The Hermitage to the Yew Tree resource centre which is now complete. Throughout all the changes the team have remained focussed and ensured that their service users are at the forefront of everything. I want to congratulate each and every one of them on this fantastic success.
The Havering CDLT is a joint health and social care service who offer support to adults (aged 18 and over) who need help because of a learning disability.
