Members of the Research Engagement Network will be on hand to answer questions about getting involved in health and care research, which can help improve your health and your community.

Associate Director of Nursing and Patient Experience at NELFT, Lee Chester said:

“We are committed to listening to people and changing what we can to make our services fit for now and in the future. We also understand how busy the summer holidays can be, so we are offering these checks whilst people are out and about. Some people are unaware they have high blood pressure, which could lead to more serious long-term complications, which is why it is important to check your health regularly.  Tooth decay leads to early teeth extraction in children, so it is important to make sure that we set children up with good toothbrushing habits to prevent dental pain and further complications.”

The event is being organised by the Mid and South Essex Community Collaborative (MSECC), which is a partnership of the NHS community services of North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT), Essex Partnership University Trust (EPUT) and Provide Community Interest Company (Provide Community).

The Mid and South Essex Community Collaborative is a partnership of three organisations who deliver community services:

  • Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT)
  • North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT)
  • Provide Community Interest Company (Provide CIC)
