Celebrating NELFT colleagues at the Make a Difference awards
Colleagues gathered at CEME and joined online last week for our annual staff Make a Difference awards, where we announced the winners and highly commended winners of our nine awards.
During the ceremony, we celebrated the amazing achievements of those who went above and beyond to show kindness and compassion to their patients and colleagues, as well as those who are going the extra mile to make improvements across the Trust which are having fantastic outcomes.
There ceremony was hosted by our acting Chief Executive, Jacqui Van Rossum, and our Chair, Eileen Taylor, who started the evening by thanking every single member of #TeamNELFT for all of the hard work they do every day to ensure they are providing the best possible care to our service users and patients.
Jacqui said:
It was a fantastic evening, and I was so proud to see all of our amazing winners receive the recognition they deserve for the hard work and innovation they have put in to ensure our patients are at the centre of everything they do.
It was refreshing to be able to hold this event in person once again, and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to chat with so many colleagues and even have a dance at the after party!
I’d like to again share my huge congratulations to all of our winners and those who were highly commended, and a big thank you to each and everyone in Team NELFT for everything you do.
Eileen said:
It was such an honour to attend my first NELFT Make a Difference Awards and what a fantastic evening it was. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting more colleagues and being able to shine a light on all our winners and nominees.
As one of the judges, I know how incredibly hard it was for all of us to pick just one winner when all the nominees deserved to win! I have felt so welcomed here at NELFT and look forward to visiting more services and meeting many more colleagues over the coming year.
During the ceremony, judges from our executive team and Board, including our Executive Chief Nursing Officer, Wellington Makala and Vice Chair, Sultan Taylor, presented the award categories to announce our winners.
After the awards ceremony, colleagues came together for an after party celebration enjoying food, drink, and some great tunes at our CEME head office. Fun was had by all who attended and we have enjoyed seeing the many photos taken and posted on social media so far.
