Governor vacancies
We have vacancies for public governors to stand for election in:
- Brentwood 1 vacancy
- Basildon 1 vacancy

As a NELFT member you can share your opinion about how the organisation is run. One way you can do this is through our Council of Governors. Governors are elected by members to work with NELFT to plan for the future, influence the strategic direction of the trust and represent the views of our membership.
If you are interested in standing as a governor, you will need to:
- have a keen interest in NELFT’s work and want to share your views and ideas
- be able to attend regular statutory Council of Governors’ meetings (three times per year) plus the Annual General Meeting
- have an interest in participating in governor forums (six times per year) plus occasional additional meetings in person or via electronic means
If successfully elected you will:
- be supported by the trust secretary and the NELFT membership office
- have access to training to support you to fully participate as a trust governor
- be able to enhance your personal and professional development
We also have staff governor vacancies in:
- Basildon and Brentwood 1 vacancy
- Thurrock 1 vacancy
Elections take place in April 2015. Please do take part in the voting process. We will be forwarding voting forms to you if you live or work in a constituency listed above.
