Criteria: Aged 16-65; mental health crisis is so severe they would otherwise be admitted to hospital, and resident in Waltham Forest.

Exclusions: This HTT service is not usually appropriate for individuals with:

• mild anxiety disorders
• primary diagnosis of alcohol or other substance misuse
• people with brain damage
• learning disabilities, with no dual diagnosis of mental illness
• recent history of self-harm but not suffering from a psychotic illness or severe depressive illness
• crisis related solely to relationship issues
