Referrals

Referrals will be accepted through MHS services and A&E.

Criteria: Aged 16 to 65; mental health crisis is so severe they would otherwise be admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Resident in Barking and Dagenham or Havering.

Exclusions: This HTT service is not usually appropriate for individuals with:

• mild anxiety disorders
• primary diagnosis of alcohol or other substance misuse people with brain damage
• learning disabilities, with no dual diagnosis of mental illness
• recent history of self-harm but not suffering from a psychotic illness or severe depressive illness
• crisis related solely to relationship issues
