Team Theme
Kent Emotional Wellbeing Team took part in TeamTheme Christmas activity camps at schools across Kent. More than 124 children from Kent and Medway Mental Health Support Team schools were reached over 3 days . Activities included creating Christmas-themed positive self-talk bracelets, snowflakes and emotions treasure hunt around the school grounds.

PACT in the Park
Junior Parkrun
Kent Emotional Wellbeing Team collaborated with Junior Parkrun in Dartford to promote the work we do in schools and to celebrate parkrun for the NHS. It provided an opportunity to talk with children and young people about the importance of physical health and mental health .
Parents and event organisers praised the event and reported positive feedback about it to Emotional Wellbeing Team representatives.
Big Mental Health Conversation
Kent and Medway Mental Health Support Teams attended the ‘Big Mental Health Conversation’ event organised by i -THRIVE and Kent County Council (KCC) in October 2024 at Detling Show Ground. This event gave young people an opportunity to share the experiences of mental health support in Kent and Medway and lew new skills to improve their wellbeing. 28 schools attended including over 250 young people across Kent and Medway.
Kent and Medway Mental Health Support Teams organised a stall to provide information about service to young people including interactive activities: “Who is Your Mental Health Hero” and a survey about barriers and enablers to help-seeking. As well as this, practitioners ran two workshops for young people; an art and wellbeing workshop focused on sleep and a drama workshop focused on understanding adolescent brain development. Emotional Wellbeing Team workshops reached 69 young people in Kent and Medway Mental Health Support Team schools. Colleagues as facilitated a staff talk; “How to approach a young person who may need mental health support”.
Medway staff wellbeing workshop
We worked with 40+ members of staff at an SEN school in Medway to think about general wellbeing. We explored how staff can look after their day-to-day wellbeing and considered processes in place within the school to access support.

Medway SENCo Conference
Emotional Support Teams attended a Medway SENCo Conference. 3 staff members ran a stall at the event attended by 17+ Medway and Kent schools attended. Two MHST staff members presented on the theme of accessibility to MHSTs and our offers.
