
NELFT NHS Foundation Trust Board of Directors is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Trust and ensures that NELFT continues to achieve its strategic objectives while upholding the Trust’s values. The Trust Board, led by the Chair comprises of executive and non-executive directors.
The executive directors are senior full-time employees of the Trust and they are responsible for the day-to-day running of the Trust. The non-executive directors have a wide range of skill, expertise and experiences and together with the executive directors ensure a robust consideration of the Trust’s performance.
Our Chair is Eileen Taylor who is a non-executive director serving as the joint Chair of NELFT and East London NHS Foundation Trust.
The Chief Executive Officer is Paul Calaminus.
NELFT Chair (Joint Chair with ELFT)
Eileen became Chair of NELFT on 1 January 2023 and this is a Joint Chair role with East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT). She joined ELFT in November 2018 and was Vice Chair since October 2020, then Acting Chair from April 2022. She is currently a Non-Executive Director of MUFG Securities EMEA, plc. She has also served as a Trustee on the Board of the East London Business Alliance (ELBA) Charity as well as on the Advisory Council of Heart of the City Charity and is formerly a Board member of the British Bankers Association.
Eileen previously worked in investment banking with 38 years’ experience within global leadership roles based in Asia, the US and the UK. She has held a range of senior roles in Deutsche Bank over 30 years including Global Head of Regulatory Management and CEO of DB UK Bank Ltd. She was also Chair of the Catalyst Europe Advisory Board and was a Co-Chair of the Task Force for Talent Innovation.
