Titian ward is a male psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU). Service users referred present a high risk to themselves and/or others, are at risk of absconsion and it is believed the risk cannot be safely managed in an acute environment.

Service users referred to Titian ward will be assessed by the PICU ward team. We will then offer further advice on management of the service user or suggest that they be admitted to PICU. The PICU team can also assess females already under a NELFT mental health service that may require management in a more secure environment.
