We are planning our next cohort (C20) of QI Facilitator training which will help you answer all of these questions.
Our facilitator course is spread over 9 months, offering 5 training half-days in which quality improvement methodology is taught, and then regular support between learning sessions from your own improvement advisor. During the training you will lead on your own quality improvement project and present the outcomes at graduation day.
Our improvement advisors will be at hand to help you with QI methodology and the improvement science behind it; use and sharing of your work using the LIFE QI platform; helping navigate barriers to progression, involving users of service and helping with preparation for graduation day where you get to present your project that you can then share within your directorates and also at all staff webinars and executive board meetings.
This interactive programme uses a mixture of learning styles including activities, theory and ‘learning sets’ which will assist your understanding.
Following agreement with your line manager you will be provided with protected time for these sessions and your QI learning.
The NELFT Quality Improvement Facilitator Training is open to NELFT staff and external NHS colleagues who have completed our Quality Improvement Foundation Training.
