The above quote from a recent improvement clinic attendee sets the scene for our new NELFT Improvement Clinics where we have expert advisors and representations from the Clinical Audit and Nice team and Learning and Support team. We use the two quality improvement methodologies to work from and in synergy with one another with the primary goal of improving the quality of care or work we provide across the Trust.This has proved so successful and gives the added bonus of getting more than one perspective in one go.

So, what is it that we do at the clinic?

Attendees can bring in a range of issues, from specific to very broad ideas or areas of improvement work, including that niggling thoughts that come to mind and do not know how exactly to move the thoughts forward. It can also be to find out about current quality improvement and audit  projects in NELFT. Areas of support can go from help with developing questionnaires for a service evaluation, starting off a clinical audit, information and advice on innovation cave, measures in quality improvement, how to start a stakeholder’s engagement to name a few.

We have received feedbacks from the attendee’s experiences, albeit the Improvement Clinics being virtual meetings over the COVID-19 pandemic with joint Improvement clinics starting since November 2021.
