Welcome to the BHR Community Education Provider Network (CEPN).

CEPNs are a resource for health and social care professionals.

The network aims to coordinate primary, secondary and social care education and training across Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge, working with both the workforce and training providers to develop, source and commission integrated training that both meets your needs as an individual within your sector, and meets the needs of the health and social care community as a whole. 

This year, the CEPN has secured access to the Locality Investment Fund, and has agreed a focus on collaborative working. Local Collaborative Learning Groups are being set up near to where you work. These will focus on key priorities that the workforce has identified – Diabetes, End of Life Care, and Mental Health. These workshops will be happening across BHR and will enable you to meet others working in your immediate area, expanding your local professional network whilst providing you with an opportunity to discuss ways to work smarter together, brainstorming approaches to care management with likeminded individuals from different sectors, and making contacts who provide different services across the care pathway.

In addition to collaborative working, workshops aiming to improve our understanding of the experiences of individuals accessing care will be happening too.

CEPN is first and foremost a local network. Although led by a Board and Steering Group, CEPN is owned by a much bigger partnership, which includes you. Partners who are involved in the CEPN include:

• BHRUT
• North East London Local Pharmaceutical Committee (NEL LPC)
• London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge
• Barking & Dagenham, Havering & Redbridge CCGs
• GPs, Federations and Nursing staff representatives
• Partnership of East London Cooperatives (PELC)

We are looking for more individuals, groups and organisations willing to get involved, especially, (but not exclusively), Dentists, Optometrists, Allied Health Professionals, Social Care professionals, and local education organisations. We are also keen that more voluntary sector organisations get involved. If you are interested in becoming involved in the development of your Network, please get in touch.
